Where We Are
Gull Cove is the perfect distance between reality and remoteness.
The lodge at Gull Cove is located about 65 miles west of Juneau Alaska and directly across Icy Strait from Glacier Bay National Park. We are on the northern shore of Chichagof Island near the mouth of Idaho Inlet. The closest towns are Elfin Cove to the west and Gustavus to the east. Typically our guests arrive by floatplane from Juneau. There is also the possibility of connecting with us through Gustavus.
Travel
Due to the remoteness of Gull Cove Lodge, the only access to it is by boat or plane. There are many options however to get there. Starting off in Juneau, Alaska:
- Starting June 1st Alaska Airlines flies directly into a neighboring small town, Gustavus, Alaska. From there, TLC Taxi will be able to pick you up from the airport and transport you to Glacier Bay National Park, a 20 minute van ride. There, the Yakobi and Paul will be anticipating your arrival. From the docks of civilization, with Alaskan appetizers, you will take off on a 45 minute boat excursion to Gull Cove Lodge where Tami, Alice and Lena will be waiting for your arrival on the dock and dinner will be ready.
- Or, there is the exclusive option of taking a float plane from Juneau's local business Ward Air. Although this option is pricier than others, you will be able to experience the scenic view and once in a life-time adventure with the hand selected pilots.
