The Puffin, Martin and Halibut

The lodge boasts three oceanfront cabins, each uniquely named after different Alaskan animals - Halibut, Martin, and Puffin. These charming cabins are perched on stilts at the edge of the Cove, connected by a boardwalk that also links to the main lodge "Whale House" and the dock. With abundant glass on the sea side, guests enjoy unobstructed views across Icy Strait. It's a common sight to spot bald eagles, sea otters, harbor seals, and humpback whales from your window. While typically hosting two guests per cabin, each accommodation can comfortably house an additional person.

Each cozy cabin at our lodge is equipped with essential amenities for your comfort and convenience. You can enjoy a refreshing hot water shower, convenient toilet, and functional sink. Moreover, each cabin offers modern luxuries such as electricity, in-floor heating for warmth, and a charming front porch where you can admire the breathtaking panoramic view of the majestic Fairweather mountain range.

The Puffin

The Puffin cabin is strategically located closest to both the lodge and the dock, making it exceptionally convenient for guests. Featuring a comfortable queen bed and an additional single bed, this cabin comfortably accommodates up to three guests. Often favored as a honeymoon retreat, its cozy ambiance makes it an ideal choice for couples seeking a romantic getaway.

The Martin and Halibut

These cabins are situated as the second and third cabins away from the main lodge, offering a bit more seclusion. Equipped with two comfortable single beds and a convenient fold-out futon couch, they provide cozy accommodation for a small group or family looking to unwind amidst the serene surroundings of Gull Cove Lodge.

Meals

Our days commence at the lodge, where we savor a delightful morning spread of sourdough pancakes, egg dishes, oatmeal, and various hearty breakfast options. Lunches often find a peaceful spot on the Yakobi, a scenic beach, or by the tranquil riverbank. As evening falls, the dinners showcase a selection of fresh seafood delights such as salmon, halibut, shrimp, and crabs, meticulously crafted with our treasured traditional recipes. The perfect finale to these delectable meals comes in the form of homemade desserts, adding a sweet note to conclude the day.
